Facilitating in Moodle Learning Management System
You’re in the middle of designing/developing your first asynchronous course in Moodle and now need to learn how facilitate it, or you’ve facilitated in Moodle a few times but would like to deepen your skills and get more ideas to increase participant engagement. Beth can support you with both. She has worked extensively in Moodle since 2012 on hundreds of online courses – designing, developing or facilitating them – and would love to help you begin or expand your online facilitation practice in Moodle.
In this two-hour 1:1 session Beth will make sure you know how to navigate around the course shell from the instructor/teacher perspective and prepare you to welcome your learners and start building course community. You’ll spend time getting comfortable in all aspects related to facilitating in discussion forums, including strategies to ignite group conversation, and learn how to insert “on the fly” activities while your course is running to keep everyone working towards success. You’ll also discover how to use learner reports and other tools to track participant progress and keep everyone connected. Walk away from this session with increased confidence and know-how to effectively facilitate your first – or next! – course in Moodle.
Note: Please purchase this package approximately 4-8 weeks in advance of when you’d like to begin working with Beth. Although she may be able to get started sooner, it just depends on her schedule of clients at any given time. More notice is better. Feel free to reach out via the Contact page if you’d like to get a sense of Beth’s availability before purchasing this package. Pricing of this session is for one person only. If you would like Beth to train a small or large group in the same skills, please contact her for custom pricing.
